Email Operations Coordinator 

Townhall Media is looking for an entry-level Email Operations Coordinator to join its Arlington, VA office. The Email Operations Coordinator will assist the growing Ad Ops team to build, and optimize digital ad campaigns and editorial newsletters to grow our email products. The position is entry level and will offer on-the-job training. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in digital advertising and a background in web development, design, marketing, business, or similar field. 

Responsibilities:
-Managing email acquisition and newsletter list building campaigns using both organic ads and digital ad buys
-Coordinating the setup, QA testing and scheduling of dedicated email sponsorships and newsletter sponsorships for clients
-Testing and optimizing newsletter templates
-Tracking of email referral traffic to owned sites and providing email insights to editorial teams
-Providing analytical reporting to the Operations and Sales teams
-Updating email database
-Reports to Executive Director of Operations

Requirements:
-BA/BS in related field or comparable work experience
-Strong attention to detail
-Basic HTML knowledge
-Must be tech savvy and have some knowledge of web systems
-Calm and patient demeanor in a fast paced environment
-Familiarity with ad servers, bulk-email servers, or email design is a plus


Staff Assistant 

Townhall Media is looking for a detail oriented and motivated Staff Assistant to join the team in our Arlington, VA, office. 

Responsibilities include: 
-Light Executive Assistant duties
-Office maintenance/efficiency - ordering equipment and supplies, travel arrangements, mail distribution, shipping, coordinating meetings, answering phones, routine organization of office common areas, break room management.
-Coordination with Salem Media Group accounting staff with accounts payable/receivable processing, expense reports.
-Working with the IT Team to assist staff with basic tech issues, including troubleshooting, desk set-up for new hires, etc. 
-Opportunities to collaborate on key projects across Townhall Media
-Other duties and projects as assigned by the Vice President

Requirements:
-Background check required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
-Proficient in basic office software with strong technology skills
-Detail oriented self-starter with strong organization skills
-Able to prioritize and multitask while being flexible in a changing and growing environment
-Self-described conservative
-Sensitivity to confidential information

Editorial Internship

Requirements 

• Experience writing for college newspaper or blog 

• Interest in politics 

• Self-described conservative, hard working and diligent 

• Self-starter, able to work alone and as a team

We accept internship applications on a rolling basis. In general, the internships are available for Fall (late Aug - mid Dec), Spring (mid Jan- early May), Summer (mid May - mid Aug).
