Steve Rosen's weekly "Kids and Money" column, now available from Tribune Media Services, helps parents teach their kids to become money-savvy. It offers advice, teaching techniques and personal observations on a range of topics that are helpful for kids in preschool through college, as well as their parents.
Rosen, a 28-year financial journalist at the Kansas City Star, has been writing "Kids and Money" for the McClatchy-Tribune News Service since 2000. As the father of three school-age children, he shares his own hands-on knowledge and anecdotes.
Rosen is recognized in the Kansas City area as an authority on children's financial education issues and is frequently asked to speak in local schools.
Rosen is an assistant business editor who oversees The Star's personal finance coverage, including its Sunday MoneyWise section. The Society of Business and Economic Writers recognized MoneyWise when it was launched in 1994 for its innovative approach to covering personal finance issues. The section was redesigned in 2006 and won an award of excellence from the Society for News Design.
