Kenneth F. Boehm has served as full-time Chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) in Falls Church, VA since 1994.
Prior to joining NLPC, Mr. Boehm served in several senior positions in the Legal Services Corporation. From 1991 to 1994, he was Assistant to the LSC President and Counsel to the LSC Board of Directors.
His professional career since receiving his J.D. from Widener School of Law in 1976 has included service as a prosecutor in Chester County, Pennsylvania, treasurer of a top-ten political action committee, Chief of Staff to Rep. Christopher H. Smith (R-N.J.-4), and Chairman of Citizens for Reagan.
The National Legal and Policy Center promotes ethics and accountability in public life through education, research and legal action. In 2003, an NLPC investigation into financial conflicts of interest involving Air Force Deputy Assistant Secretary Darleen Druyun and Boeing resulted in a front-page Wall Street Journal article. Druyun and Boeing Chief Financial Officer Michael Sears subsequently pled guilty and served prison terms for conspiracy to violate the federal conflict of interest statute.
Mr. Boehm has testified as an expert witness numerous times before House and Senate committees.
In addition to his legal career, Mr. Boehm spent five years as an award-winning radio talk show host on Philadelphia’s WWDB. His broadcast experience includes being a guest commentator on NPR and guest interviews on more than 500 radio and TV programs.
