1.) How to Create a New Portfolio

To view and edit the transaction information in your portfolio, click on Stock Tools in the Navigation Bar of the website. Then click on Personal Portfolio Tracking.On the left hand side of that page, fill out the following information: symbol, total shares, purchase price, current daye and fees.

Once you have filled that information out (see screenshot below), click on "Add Symbol" to add the stocks to your portfolio.

Once you have clicked submit, your screen should then include the new stock (screenshot below).

The current numbers for your portfolio will appear on several pages throughout the site including the homepage. (screenshot below). Using a personal portfolio, you will be able to see the current numbers for your own personal stocks throughout the website.

2.) How to find the company symbols for your portfolio

You can find the any company symbols for your portfolio by going here and typing in the name of the company that you want to see the stock of.

3.) How to Edit Your Portfolio

To edit your personal portfolio, go back to "Personal Portfolio Tracking" under "Stock Tools" and on that page, you will be able to change your current stocks and add new ones.Your personal portfolio will show up on that page (screenshot below) and here, you can add new stocks to your portfolio, delete stocks or review your current stocks.

4.) Are QuoteMedia's historical prices adjusted for stock Splits and Dividends?
Our historical data is adjusted for Splits and Dividends with the exception of "Volume" data.

5.) Does QuoteMedia display Foreign Cross Traded stock data?
Five letter OTO symbols ending in "F" - like ECUXF, EDRGF, etc... - are considered "Foreign Cross Traded" funds. Currently, we receive limited information on these particular symbols and what is currently reflected is expected, ie. only the "Last Price", "Prev Close", and 52week high/low data is received for these particular symbols. There is no Level 2 data available on these symbols as well.

6.) Does QuoteMedia offer Commodities and Futures Data?

QuoteMedia currently offers 30-minute delayed NYMEX and COMEX commodity data for Quotestream.com users. To access such data, please kindly use our "Symbol Lookup" feature in order to determine the appropriate symbol for the commodity you are seeking.

7.) For US stocks, what do the letters mean on the left hand side of the "Time & Sales" column?

The "Time & Sales" column of the Quotemodule tool displays the "Trade Indicator" code on the left side of the column. A normal trade will have no Trade Indicators.

“Shares Out” is defined by…
The number of shares of common stock currently outstanding, ie. the number of shares issued minus the shares held in treasury. This reflects all offerings and acquisitions for stock made at the end of the most recent filing period.

“Ex-Div” is defined by…
The date on or after which a security is traded without a previously declared dividend or distribution. After the ex-date, a stock is said to trade ex-dividend.
