The Obama appointed head of the BLS apparently wanted to send her children to a communist school. Which explains a lot. This is explained in Charles Payne's article today on TH: http://finance.townhall.com/columnists/charlespayne/2012/10/09/scary_obama_appointed_the_jobs_number_cruncher_scarier_her_resume

Whose lying now! Guess we will never know. Accusing either side of lying or fudging on statistics won't solve our real problem - the deficit!

"We will never know"? That's a joke, right...?

Is it nor curious that BLS claims that 866,000 new jobs were added in September, yet IRS reports that payroll tax revenues DECLINED in September? More taxpayers and less payroll tax revenue? In Obamaland, anything is possible.

Historically a president was unlikely to be re-elected if the unemployment number was at or above 8% however there's nothing magical about that figure. In times past when the economy improved the number would drop. Not so today. I think the American people will not be fooled into believing things are better simply because of the braying media. Yes, the stock market is up because of the Fed's actions but the stock market is only one facet of the economy. The simple fact is people are not going back to work nor will they so long as we have a President who bypasses Congress to rule by executive fiat and a group of unelected regulatory czars meddling with the economy.

Remember 1992 when Bill Clinton claimed that "This is the worst economy since the Great Depression"? Maybe not. Some of you are too young. Well, Obama claimed the same thing in his
convention speech this year. Who's right? Clinton 20 years ago or Obama today? Neither. What's the worst economy since the Great Depression? That would be the 1979-83 economy. In 1980, gas was at a then-all-time high of $1.25 a gallon. Inflation, by 1982, was running at 10%, and interest rates were at 20%. The Republicans were slaughtered in the 1982 midterm elections.

The Obamanators are wailing that the first debate showed a "prevaricating" Romney who won on style versus substance. REALLY?!

ACTUALLY, it had been style rather than substance that Obama used to seduce the electorate back in 2008!

NOW, we have seen the Man Behind the Curtain exposed, the Wizard of Ozbama! President Food Stamp

WHAT HAPPENED to cutting the deficit in half? To less crony capitalism? To openness? Where are the jobs? (Fewer working than when he slithered in!)

ObamaCare for Chrissake?! Food Stamps up 50%? Defined poverty way up?

Obama "job growth" numbers are TOTALLY hokey!

They are simply counting from the nadir/bottom of the hole.

In an economy this large, there SHOULD BE 250,000 hirings every month-- JUST TO STAY EVEN! This is partly because people retire, go back to school, quit, have a baby, whatever.

When economists define textbook "full employment," it is when only 4% are in transition/unemployed.

On the other side, the "unemployed" does not include the millions who have quit looking/are too discouraged.

The work force participation (total employed) is DOWN under Obama.

Jack Welch was right. We're being conned, again. Classic example of liberal progressives "politicizing" the numbers to get the results they needed to support Obama.

Labor force participation by people 55 and over is much higher than anyone anticipated, so the demographic decline may actually be zip.
