If you are seeking an amusing yet disconcerting diversion from QE talk, please consider Lawmaker fined about $4,000 for insulting EU chief.

The UKIP platform fits right in with the Libertarian party platform, except for the part about government helping "those in real need." Libertarians believe forcibly taking money from some, only to give it to others who government employees decide need it, is immoral.

How we resolving our individual needs is an individual/family decision. If people need, help, then churches, friends, and other community members can help better than if government gets involved, because when government gets involved, it makes us all poorer and less capable of dealing with our needs.

Really Mike? We should adopt the UKIP platform...

while I agree mostly, I have read too many of your columns to believe you are serious.

Good!

1. No - not good that Farage is fined for exercising his non-existent free speech rights.

2. No - not good that Farage is attacked for telling the truth as he sees it

3. No - it is irrelevant that it's an ad hom (they've been waiting for this for what over a decade?)

4. But Good - Nay GREAT - b/c it shows Farage hurt the fascist pigs.

Good for Nigel - he should make the fine into a poster and a tee-shirt and wear it as an act of defiance!

Are we sure he wasn't fined for insulting the damp rag?

You need to be more careful. In naming the 10 most dangerous people in the Eurozone you could get fined 3,000 euros each. Be careful, they need every euro they can scalp out of people to support their stupidity. Oops. Now I'm going to get fined. LOL

Chris is your point they are so weak he only had to pay 3000?

If Nigel was not telling the truth, he would be picking up trash somewhere in Cornwall...

Excellent article, particularly the end (the statement of UK Ind. Party and that the Repubs should adopt it). Nice to know we have ideological brethren in Europe, where so many of our ancestors hailed from.
