Semi-Automatic Pastry Warrants Two-Day Suspension for 7 Year Old

I weep for my country. We are becoming pathetic fools and total wimps.

Consider these jaw-dropping examples of behavior by adults who work in government schools. I think they must be competing for the Stupid Official of the Year Award.

The contestants include:

The bureaucrats who suspended a 7-year boy for pretending to throw a non-existent grenade on the playground.
The bureaucrats who suspended a 6-year old boy in Maryland for making a gun shape with his finger.
The bureaucrats who busted a 5-year old girl in Pennsylvania for having a pink plastic gun that shoots bubbles.
The teacher in Rhode Island who caught an 8-year old boy with some plastic toy army men.
The bureaucrats who evacuated a school because an 11-year old boy made a motion detector for his science experiment.
The bureaucrats in Florida who kicked an 8-year old boy out of school for a year because he had a plastic gun in his backpack.
A dual award in Virginia, with half the prize for the bureaucrats who suspended a 10-year old boy for a toy gun and half the prize for the cops who then arrested the kid.

Here’s another example that belies belief. It starts innocently enough, as reported by a Baltimore news outlet.

Children at Park Elementary School went home with a letter today explaining there was a disruption in school.

A “disruption”? What, pray tell, happened. A fire? A theft? A gang fight?

In a way, the kid was lucky he was only sent home for two days. The nibbles he made might have looked like bullets. The school could have made him sit on a pottie until he passed the "bullets" and used them for evidence to send him to prison for life.

Read Beck's book "Agenda 21". Its fiction, but its what life might be like when it fully takes affect. In the story they (government) take away books, paper, no one has any kind of belongings absolutely everything, and controls everything (water, food and clothing included). After the guns (real or not) are gone, then it will be video games, then cars, dolls, legos, they will come up with something why they are dangerous. I believe agenda 21 is being implemented in schools, and everywhere else. Study up on it.

The registration of guns and background checks only address the symptoms not the problem. The problem is people and the culture in which they live, not guns or gun ownership. Our society suffers from moral decline and a deficiency of personal responsibility…not from an excess of freedom that our Constitution provides.

I have always believed (and no one has been able to convince me to believe otherwise), that it’s PEOPLE THAT KILL…guns are only one of many tools that evil and those mentally incompetent chose to accomplish their evil deeds.

Laws are made to protect you…this is a MISNOMER…show me one law that actually protects you. Laws are made to deter and punish the criminal act after it has been committed, not before.

Laws made by moral people are for moral people; criminals only respect the laws they want too. When a lawbreaker breaks the law he suddenly has rights to protect him…what about the victims of lawbreakers, where are their rights. They have none, only a Government that says it is protecting you.

The only person that can protect you from criminals is…YOU!

I don't agree with the author that the Dad had the "right reaction." He used the term "'almost' insanity," when it is in fact stark raving lunacy: a deep-rooted cultural cancer rotting away the brains of the shambling zombies in charge of indoctrinating his child day in and day out. He also failed to pull his kid out of school the following day and move out of Maryland the day after that.

I was feeling sort of like Bart Simpson "I don't know why I have to study English? I am not going to visit it again. Them folks think and speak funny. I think all these incidents is part of Eric Holder's "brainwash our kids into thinking guns are bad" campaign. Recall that video from the 1990s that made some replays last year? The really amazing thing is they want to spend all that time and energy into brainwashing the people into a particular attitude on guns but no time or energy that hurting people is bad.

I used to be proud to be an American but you know - not so much any more. I don't know what is happening to our country there are just too many things to list. But one thing I do know is that if I had school age children they would NOT be allowed to go to public government run school. I would want my children to grow up with good American values and morals which are missing in todays world.

How did we survive in the fifies & sixties? We had cap guns, BB guns, shootin' shell guns, toy soldiers, toy tanks, wooden blocks and tool sets. Plus every boy & most girls carried a jackknife. We played with creativity & imagination and, most importantly, we knew the difference between play/fiction and real life. We played Cops & Robbers and Cowboys & Indians; we pushed and shoved and tied each other up - all just playing and having fun, doing no harm. Of course, in the course of playing as free range kids we got hurt and learned about pain. Nobody got upset much because (other than putting an eye out or breaking a neck) injuries were not considered serious and were just part of growing up. Common sense was a lot more common.

Growing up in neighborhood helped - all adults felt entitled to yell at us and we listened. Any fight was broken up, the combatants forced to shake hands and it was over. Both parties learned that hitting and being hit hurts - at an age where the hurt was both at a reasonable level and educational.

These teachers would have crapped their pants if they had been my third grade teacher. For show and tell I brought my dad's WWII relic to show all my friends; it was a training Bazooka shell. I still have it and it has a slug impact on it from when it was fired and one of the soldiers shot at it.
