Even he knows better, or at least he should. That man, Barack Obama. After all he claims to be a Constitutional Law professor. But, on Friday, the President blew it.

I understand that there are at least as many different ideas of how to fix the illegal immigration problem as there are Members of Congress. So, it comes as no surprise that the President also has some thoughts on the subject – particularly as the election draws near.

But, when I heard him announce his executive order which changes existing law, I bristled. The Constitution is very clear about separation of powers; the Congress makes laws, the executive branch administers them.

Obama knows it, too. In September 2011 in response to pressure to take this same action he said, "this notion that somehow I can just change the laws unilaterally in just not true…there are laws on the books that I have to enforce…we live in a democracy.  You have to pass bills through the legislature, and then I can sign it."

Earlier in 2011, Obama said the same thing to La Raza; "The idea of doing things on my own is very tempting.  But that's not how our system works."  And, on Univision he said, "Congress passes the law.  The executive branch's job is to enforce and implement those laws.  And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws.  There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as President."

What changed since then?  Did I miss an Amendment to the Constitution?

No.  Barack Obama just trampled on it – again.  The great Charles Krauthammer summed it up best, "This is out-and-out lawlessness."  See the Fox News video below.  Full text of his comments is here.

This is what happens when you elect the wrong person President of the United States of America.

Complacency, Ignorance, and Indifference, breeds Apathy and Stupidity, then Disaster.

And electing an Obama-lite Mass liberal progressive GOP establishment Republicrat named Romney is not the answer to counter Obama.

What else is new when people are so easily swayed by what they hear, instead of what they should believe in, Constitutional Conservative Reagan Values and Principles, that they, the people, lose all sight of the Truth.

Obama has nothing but contempt for the US Constitution, America, and the American people, so what's the surprise.. as we, the Reagan Conservatives, and now the Tea party all warned you about Obama, but no one listened.

He says and does what he says and does because he has absolute contemptuous arrogance for the system of governance created by the Founding Fathers, as he has been indoctrinated to believe that America is the problem of the world's ills. and America's Allies are just as guilty for their support of America, not to mention Israel.

Obama is now at the end of his Presidential rope, so he decides to do whatever he wants to do, saying to he American system and people- "What are you going to do about it- Nothing that's what".

In California in Meg Whitman's campaign for Governmor it came out that she had a homeworker who was an illegal alien. Whitman is thought by some to have lost her campaign because of it. In fact her employee was the criminal and she aided and abetted (a less serious crime) if it could be proven that her employee gave her forged documents to get her job (and the fact that Whitman and her husband submitted employee taxes under the forged social security number her employee gave them shows the employee was the criminal and they were the victim of her crime)

If a person assists another in committing a crime, it is "aiding and abetting," which is a crime in itself.

If a superior officer orders his federal law enforcement officers to break the law, is it treason?
Blair31 Wrote: Jun 18, 2012 6:40 PM
If a person assists in a crime, like for example, a bank robbery, even if that person's the getaway driver,
and someone's killed in the commission of said bank robbery, he's just as guilty as the bank robbers themselves.

With the remark (“It is not an amnesty but an exercise of discretion”) while giving amnesty to 800,000 illegal aliens by our Janet Incompetano we are extending the new communist dictionary of the American politics. We have declared that the War on Terror must be renamed as “an overseas contingency operation”; the mass murder of our soldiers at Fort Hood by an enraged jihadi terrorist has become an example of “workplace violence”; and that illegal amnesty for 800,000 illegal aliens has become “an exercise of discretion”. By the same logic the mass-murdering communist dictatorship of North Korea is called “People’s Democratic Republic”.

Republicans sicken me! I was waiting to hear their response to Obama doing an in run around the Constitution and there was no unified condemnation. The response was rather muted at best.

Maybe the Republicans should just say screw the Constitution and run on a platform of abolishing a whole host of EPA regulations, FDA regulations, and IRS regulations by announcing that in the interest of the nation the violation of these rules and laws won't be prosecuted by a Romney administration.

They want to avoid the trap Obama's set, for them to act against "innocent" Hispanic children. Don't you think the Dems would make an election issue of that?

Sometimes letting others carry the battle is best. "Discretion is the better part of valor."
David238 Wrote: Jun 18, 2012 6:30 PM
You are willing to let the Democrats ignore the Constitution because you are afraid of being labeled against Hispanic children? Sometimes valor requires you to stand up for what is right.

The 10th amendment now means nothing. The right to bear arms is teetering. Medicare and Social Security were never envisioned as federal government responsibilities and now they're bankrupting us. But yeah, "Discretion is the better part of valor." That philosophy is working just great.

"Lawless and he knows it."

Finally, a conservative columnist tells it like it is about BHO. I have to say, though, that when BHO announced his edict, he spoke well about it, -better than I expected- saying it was wrong to deport people to countries they know nothing about (because they came here often as young children). But, sad stories are the consequence of nations enforcing laws to protect themselves, which they have to do. What people should not do is bring their kids along when sneaking another country illegally and then expect nothing to come of it. BHO would have nothing come of it, and that is what is wrong.

The crux of the matter is that while the "Dream" act may be partially reasonable, enacting such a law by executive diktat is a Problem.

It''s not the product, it's the process. And it's not the first time Obama has ruled as a dictator.

Elect more Republicans and Conservatives to the Senate! Take charge there, and then we'll have leverage! But that election should replace Obama anyway.

Not to worry!

This is just another B.S story given, by the administration to Hispanics in hope that this will in some way convey that the administration is doing SOMETHING about the immigrations question.

Let us be clear about some matters ,that are being skewed by both sides, to score political points.

1 - A clearly unconstitutional executive order NOT to enforce a law enacted by congress will never go into effect....and if it does, than congress has abdicated its powers...the Obama administration KNOWS this, and will then claim the opposition has gotten in the way of change.

2 - The estimate of 800,000 to be effected by the order HAS been used by some to mean that there are 800,000 holding down jobs . NOT TRUE!

So it is a waste of time even mentioning it.

He is refusing to enforce US laws already on the books. It's that simple. This is another unlawful mandate that contradicts existing law. Why do we have to do another round of interrogations and legal wrangling. Just impeach him for failure to enforce the law and be done with it, and take the justice department with you. Congress must act. They must act now.

As long as the Senate is in Democratic control, they won't remove him from office; even if the House did impeach him. Don't waste your time agitating for the impossible.

The fastest and most effective way to remove any President is to replace him via election. Work for Romney, if you want rid of Obama. Don't be distracted if Romney isn't perfect; no one is. He's just better than the current President; and that's enough.

We have a desparate president, willing to break the laws of the land with the backing of an attorney general and the DOJ who continue to thumb thier noses at the constitution and bill of Rights.

Both men have willfully lied, cheated and covered up thier many illegal transgressions with the help of many in Congress on both sides of the aisle. Congress seems to be afraid of being labled racists, they there fore are looking the other way and ignoring the need to bring legal action against this administration.
